Dr Swoboda is on the editorial board of American Nurse Journal, the official journal of the American Nurses Association, and WOUNDS journal. They represent North America on the International Skin Tear Advisory Panel and are President of the Milwaukee Metro Nurse Practitioner Association. Dr Swoboda has won two career lifetime achievement awards under the age of forty as a fellow of both the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and the Wound Ostomy Continence Nurses Association.
