It’s the foundation of it.

Get tools that work

Without needing to be a sleep expert

Sleep isn’t just a side effect of health – it’s the foundation of it.

With healthy sleep the nervous system can finally rest, the brain can repair and emotions can stabilize.

Simply put. Good sleep is life-changing for clients.

And for you? When clients aren’t stumbling through sessions in a sleep deprived fog … the therapy you’re providing can actually work.

But here’s the thing. Clients want to look at their phones until they fall asleep. The don’t want to turn off Netflix earlier.

So the standard sleep hygiene advice of “turn off screens” and “stick to a bedtime” just doesn’t work.

That’s why we created this training with sleep expert Dr. Michele Okun. The director of the Sleep and Biobehavioral Health Research Laboratory at UC-Colorado Springs, Dr. Okun is a recognized leader in the field of sleep health.

In just one day she’ll give you simple and instantly usable tools and techniques proven to work …

…PLUS the motivational techniques you need to actually get clients to embrace making the changes!

If you treat anxiety, PTSD, chronic pain, mood disorders …this is a can’t miss training.

There’s no prior sleep knowledge required. No need to become a sleep expert.

Join Dr. Okun and get the skills and tools to transform your client’s poor sleep into a foundation for healing.

Michele L. Okun, PhD, FSBSM, FAMBR, is a professor of research at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs and director of the Sleep and Biobehavioral Health Research Laboratory. She has over 25 years of experience and is one of the leading researchers on sleep and mental health during the perinatal period.

Dr. Okun’s work investigates how sleep disturbances, particularly insomnia, augment risk for adverse pregnancy outcomes via neuro-immune and neuro-endocrine pathways. Dr. Okun’s work has shown that poor sleep quality and insomnia significantly increase the risk for postpartum mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs). The overarching goal of her research program is elucidating the role that poor sleep health has upon the risk of PMADs and the biological mediators of this relationship. She is evaluating the degree to which a smart bassinet improves infant and maternal sleep thereby mitigating PMADs. Dr. Okun’s research portfolio also includes assessing whether digital CBT-I can mitigate mood symptoms and sleep in adolescents as well as reduce cardiometabolic risk among menopausal women.

Dr. Okun is funded by NIH and DoD, has authored over 80 journal articles, and has served as a peer reviewer for over three dozen journals as well as various study sections.
