Cheryl Nitz, ACSW, LCSW, the co-founder and director and a clinician at the Attachment & Bonding Center of PA. She brings over 25 years of experience as practitioner, program administrator, trainer and consultant in the fields of attachment, trauma, adoption, foster care, post-institutionalization and child/adolescent mental health. She is committed to joining with families to help children and adolescents who have suffered trauma and attachment challenges to find hope and healing as they learn to access the love and security their families provide. In addition to her professional experience, some of her best education has come from being a parent with her husband to their four kids (two of whom came to the family through adoption) and grandparent to four!
Cheryl provides numerous professional and parent trainings on topics related to trauma, attachment and adoption. She has spoken at many local, state and national conferences, and is noted for being an engaging and enthusiastic speaker, with an emphasis on practical application as well as a funny story or two! Her combination of realism and passion about the field is evident as she provides staff training, clinical supervision and consultation for clinicians and agencies seeking to provide attachment-sensitive, trauma-informed services.
