Daniel Wesemann, DNP, MSW, RN, APRN, PMHNP-BC
Daniel E. Wesemann, DNP, MSW, RN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a highly accomplished health professional with extensive experience in psychiatric and mental health nursing. He currently serves as the director of the Psychiatric - Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) – Doctoral of Nursing Practice program at the University of Iowa College of Nursing. Dr. Wesemann’s research interests focus on identifying and treating pediatric bipolar disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) across the lifespan, and veteran’s mental health. Clinically, he has been practicing as a PMHNP since 2008, treating various psychiatric illnesses through psychotropic medications and psychotherapy. He is currently the president of the International Society of Psychiatric Nurses and a Fellow in the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
