Andrea Murphy, MSN, ANP-BC, NEA-BC, AQH, is a nurse practitioner specializing in headache disorders, with clinical experience dating to 2015. She played a pivotal role in establishing the first multidisciplinary academic headache center at Hartford HealthCare and now practices at the Headache Care Center, PLLC, a nurse practitioner-led specialty clinic in South Windsor, Connecticut.
She is actively involved in national headache organizations, serving on the Membership Committee for the American Headache Society and the APP Education Committee for the Association of Migraine Disorders. Additionally, Andrea has contributed to national task forces, advisory boards with the National Headache Foundation, and industry partners focused on advancing headache care.
Her scholarly work includes peer-reviewed publications, textbook chapters on headache and pain management, contributions to migraine clinical trials, and invited presentations at the American Headache Society, American Academy of Pain Medicine, and various advanced practice events. Andrea also serves as an adjunct faculty member, clinical preceptor for NP and PA programs, and holds an Added Qualification in Headache (AQH) from the National Headache Foundation.
