Carol H. Mack, RN, PhD, JD, enjoyed a long career as an oncology nurse before becoming an attorney. She has practiced in a variety of health care and regulatory settings and is now an educator, public speaker, and practicing attorney. In her law career, she began assisting with civil litigation and now practices primarily in the areas of elder law and health care law. Her health care law practice involves, specifically, HIPAA issues and issues affecting nursing practice. Carol has also published on a wide variety of topics related to nurses, legal issues, and how to deal with constant legal change. She is known for her ability to bring complex concepts into clarity for her audiences and her unique perspective on legal issues in nursing makes her a highly sought-after speaker.
