Pamela A. Malone, Ph.D., LCSW, has over 30 years of experience as a private practitioner, author, professor, and researcher focused on the impact of grief, loss, and crisis on children and adolescents. Dr. Malone has authored articles and book chapters on this topic as well as provided numerous presentations, both national and international, to a broad range of mental health providers and educators.
As an educator at The University of Texas at Austin, St. Edward's University and Texas State University, Dr. Malone has taught hundreds about grief, loss and crisis in children and adolescents. Dr. Malone has led dozens of grief support groups including specialized programs for adolescents both in her practice and in high schools. Most recently, she developed, implemented and tested the efficacy of the Adolescent Grief and Loss (AGL) group which proved to significantly reduce physical, social, emotional, and cognitive grief response.
