Join Nicole Pezzino PharmD, BCACP, CDCES for an insightful two-hour session dedicated to exploring common sleep disturbances for women. This session will delve into the complexities of sleep disorders that affect women, providing underlying causes and impact on overall health. Providers will gain a deeper understanding of pharmacological approaches used in managing sleep disturbances specific to women, including considerations for hormonal influences, medication interactions, and patient-centered treatment strategies. Through case studies and evidence-based discussions, learn practical insights and tools essential for optimizing patient care in women's sleep health.  

Nicole Pezzino, PharmD, BCACP, CDCES
Nicole Pezzino, PharmD, BCACP, CDCES, is a board-certified pharmacist in ambulatory care (BCACP), a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES), with clinical responsibilities at her community practice site, Weis Markets. There Dr. Pezzino is the director of the PGY-1 Community-based pharmacy and has responsibility to implement various clinical services. Additionally, she is an associate professor for a Department of Pharmacy Practice and serves as the Director of Community Outreach & Innovation.

Dr. Pezzino consistently challenges the status quo of pharmacy. She is considered a leader in the state and nation regarding the implementation of her diabetes services and mentor’s other pharmacies in being successful in each. Her clinical focus includes employee wellness and disease state management-specifically with diabetes self-management and diabetes prevention, wellness and preventative care services, immunizations and other medication and disease state therapy management.
